This was Ava's second Christmas with us and boy did she catch on quick that this was a pretty special and exciting time. She learned all about the Christmas tree and of course, Santa. These words were added to her vocabulary and she used them a lot. She performed in the holiday concert and did amazing. She was animated, shaking the bells, yelling out the words she knew and dancing around. My heart was so proud. That's my girl! I'm in awe of this little girl who has overcome so much in her short life, opened her heart to a new, loud and big family, had two surgeries and started preschool all in one year! She teaches us all something new about life and love everyday. We are so lucky!

Helping Mom decorate the tree!

Aidan still loves to help too! The older boys grumbled about helping so I just let them watch and direct. Funny thing happened though- that night the tree fell over due to a new tree stand and not quite getting the tree in just right. Yep, fell right over and they were the ones to put it back up and put the decorations back on. Adam mentioned that this happened to make sure everyone had a part of decorating the tree....:-)

Yes, we did love getting dressed up! Digging out a dress instead of pants, shirts and ties was pretty darn fun! |
